Belgian Professional Rider, Trainer and Breeder

With great passion, decades of experience, and a fine eye for horses, Marc Boes stands for solid training, sporting ambition, and true horsemanship. Born in 1963 in Wellen, Belgium, he grew up on a small farm with horses. At the age of six, he received his first pony – but the real foundation of his riding career was laid with an old gelding named “Nancy.”

Despite modest beginnings, Marc Boes worked his way up step by step with dedication, discipline, and passion. After completing his training as an electrician, he took over a riding stable at just 18 years old, gaining valuable experience in the sport and building important contacts within the international equestrian scene.

In 1986, Marc moved to Germany and rode for renowned stables. International competitions, Nations Cups, World Cup classes, and training with experienced top riders and Olympic champions followed. His career highlights include becoming Belgian Junior Champion, receiving the German Golden Riding Badge, winning Nations Cups, and achieving numerous international placings.

One of his most remarkable achievements was winning a puissance class over 2.22 metres, setting a Croatian high jump record. Over the years, Marc Boes has also been successful in Grand Prix classes, championships, Youngster Tours, and international competitions for young horses.

Today, Marc Boes shares his extensive knowledge as a trainer and breeder. His work focuses on the careful education of young talents, the individual development of both horse and rider, and long-term progress in the sport.

His philosophy is clear: a good rider never stops learning. Every horse is a new teacher, and every day is a new opportunity to improve. For Marc Boes, success in the arena is important, but harmony between horse and rider, respect for the horse, and solid, horse-friendly training are always at the heart of his work.
