Johannes Ehning Showjumpers stands for professional training, competition presentation, and the sale of high-quality show jumping horses. The JES GmbH stable is based in Stadtlohn, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany, and is run by Johannes Ehning together with Kaya Ehning.

Johannes Ehning was born on 9 October 1982 in Stadtlohn and comes from one of Germany’s most renowned show jumping families. He started riding at the age of five and competed in his first novice and elementary jumping classes at the age of eight. He quickly developed within the sport and soon competed successfully in L- and M-level classes.

With the mare Zuckerpuppe, Johannes gained his first experience at advanced level and won his first Westphalian Championship. Further success followed in the junior and young rider divisions: in 1999 he was awarded the Golden Riding Badge and won individual gold at the European Junior Championships. In 2000 he won the Preis der Besten and achieved individual bronze as well as team silver at the European Young Rider Championships. In 2003, he won team gold at the European Young Rider Championships.

Johannes Ehning has also achieved numerous international successes in show jumping. His well-known successful horses include Panama, Locando, Lord’s Classic, Salvador, Quintana Roo, Cayenne, Appearance, and C-Jay. With Salvador and Quintana Roo, he won several Grand Prix classes, including Donaueschingen, Hamburg, Vienna, and Kiel. He also successfully represented Germany in Nations Cup competitions and won the Nations Cup in Wellington, Florida, in 2012.

Since 2014, Johannes Ehning has been running his own stable in Stadtlohn. The focus is on horse-friendly training, professional competition presentation, and the sale of talented show jumpers. Each horse is developed individually and presented at national and international level – from young prospects to experienced sport horses.

Kaya Ehning adds further international experience to the stable. She was highly successful as a junior and young rider, winning the Preis der Besten, becoming German Young Rider Champion, and earning the title of European Vice-Champion. Since 2016, she has been running the stable together with Johannes and successfully presents horses nationally and internationally up to advanced level.

Johannes Ehning Showjumpers stands for experience, horsemanship, and consistent sport-oriented training. The stable combines professional horse development with international competition sport and a strong network in the high-quality show jumping horse market.
